China Completes First Biofuel Jet Test Flight

China is a step closer to powering his commercial airliner with biofuel. In recent times, China has been looking for ways to reduce its over dependence on oil thus increasing its research in renewable energy. A recent article discusses this issue. China's interest in developing biofuels for industrial use is growing rapidly. In late 2009 Boeing and China signed a biofuel agreement with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese universities calling for research and development that potentially could support commercialization of jatropha.
